Dallas Police released video from a wild May 30, 2026 incident where 37-year-old Stacey Huffman allegedly slipped one hand out of his handcuffs after being arrested during a traffic stop on South Marsalis Avenue. Police say Huffman later climbed into the driver’s seat of a squad car on northbound I-35 near Illinois Avenue and drove off while an officer was still inside. Authorities say he reached about 50 mph before jumping out of the moving patrol car and being taken into custody. Huffman remains hospitalized and is expected to face additional charges for escape from custody and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
