STORY: Today has been my worst experience ever in an Uber. Right after my radiation treatment this driver picked us up from the hospital. I spoke to him and he barely spoke back but that’s cool because you don’t have to speak if you don’t want to. He turned his volume up in the car, and I asked him to please turn it down, he barely touched it to turn it down. I then put in BOTH AirPods, and could still hear the voices from whatever he was listening too.
During the ride, my aid and myself almost hit our head twice on the seats in front of us from him, having to slam on brakes because he was driving reckless.
Later in the ride my aid then asked him to turn the volume down and explain to him that I was not feeling well and at that point, I told him that this was the worst experience that I’ve ever had in an Uber. He dismissed me by saying “come on”, as if I was exaggerating.
After a long day of treatment I just wanted to relax on the hour and 10 minute ride home and was unable to even close my eyes because I feared that we were going to get into an accident the way he was driving in rush hour traffic.
He then received a phone call from a female, they were speaking in their language and he had the volume high. During the call I informed him that his turn was coming up at the stop sign. He put his hand up in the air to dismiss me again. He missed the turn!!!!! When I told him he missed the turn he called me a mother fucker and threaten to put us out.
This man was disrespectful to myself and my aid on so many levels today and he put our lives at risk. He even went on to talk about how black Americans are entitled and lazy mother fuckers. The rest you can hear in the video. I really wish that I would’ve hit record a lot sooner.
I am most definitely reporting him to Uber. I hope that this man never picks up another passenger!!!!
