n on CTA bus. **Viewer Discretion Advised ⚠️** Today was an unexpected and difficult day. While riding the bus after spending time out with my daughter, a woman boarded through the rear door and began approaching passengers. Moments later, she went to the back of the bus and attacked someone. CTA responded quickly by pulling over and calling the proper personnel. I did my best to remain calm and tried to speak with her, hoping to help de-escalate the situation. Living here in Chicago, I see the headlines, but this is my community. And while this was a frightening situation, I also recognized that she may have been experiencing a crisis and needed help. In hostile moments, I choose to stay calm and lead with understanding. The Chicago Police handled the situation better than I expected, and I’m grateful no one was more seriously hurt. I truly hope she gets the help she needs. Please keep our city in your prayers. We’re seeing too many situations like this, and we all deserve safety and support.
