It was 9 a.m. on January 31 when the sound of glass shattering shook up dogs in a home near Douglas and Meridian in Wichita. It was all caught on a camera inside the home.
The two thieves quickly go to work. One of the hauls a safe out the back door. Inside is more than $100,000 worth of jewelry and other items. They’re in the house for just under five minutes.
At one point, one of the thieves tries to pet one of the dogs. The two grab armloads of clothing, what appears to be a mini fridge, and what police describe at high-dollar sneakers.
Investigators say the homeowners don’t know the suspects or why they chose the house, but they do want the thieves caught.
