According to police, the same group is connected to a series of burglaries, with about four to seven suspects seen using chains to pull ATMs from stores. The ATM heist on Saturday occurred at a New York Food Mart on North Broadway, where about five individuals exited an SUV, allegedly broke the front door of the business, attached a chain to the ATM inside, and then drove off as the ATM broke through the door and windows. One of the business owners, Adriana Alcamarksese, told reporters that Candy’s Grocer on Ohio Street has been struck six times in the last three years and has considered closing due to property damage and repair costs. “I am considering even closing at this point,” Alcamarksese said. “I can’t really afford to keep doing this. It’s not worth it, and we’ve been lucky so far that there’s no injuries. But how long is that going to hold out? Is it worth the risk? Is it worth the cost? Everything is going up. I can’t afford to be restocking the store and repairing a door
