Store Employee Did Nothing After A 44 Year Old Man Kidnapped A 13 Year Girl In His Store After She Told Him To Call Her Daddy
Pine Bluff Police Department said they have arrested a man who allegedly kidnapped a 13-year-old girl.
Officials said officers went to the Pine Bluff Corner Market on West 13th Street on Thursday after a social media video showed a young girl being forced into a vehicle by a man outside the market.
hortly afterward, Pine Bluff police detectives said they identified the man in the video as 44-year-old Arnice Rogers Jr. Rogers was taken to the detectives’ office for questioning, where officers noted he had scratches “and a busted lip,” according to officials.
Security footage from the market showed a 13-year-old girl speaking with a clerk, who then gave her a telephone. Rogers was then seen escorting the girl from the store, shoving her into the front seat of his vehicle and leaving, officials said.
Investigators said they spoke with the girl, who said Rogers tried to pick her up in his vehicle, but she ran away. Later, she said, Rogers caught up with her at the nearby Burger Barn, grabbed her by the waist, and again tried to force her into his vehicle, but she broke free a few blocks away near Central Park and ran.
