The driver of the SUV, a 61-year-old man, drove through four interior walls before coming to a standstill in a gun shop.

A Houston community jumped into action to help a barber re-open his shop after a car plowed into it only last week.

It’s all smiles inside 32 Degreez Barber Shop in West Houston.

The place was packed with customers on Saturday.

But, just one week ago, it looked like this.

A giant hole in the wall and debris on the ground after police say a car drove through it.

We’ve stopped the surveillance footage before anyone is hit but you can *hear* the crash.

Owner Darrick Brown is grateful the three people hit are *okay* and *happy* to have his business up and running again.

“How that doggone car come through bro,” owner Darrick Brown said. “It feels good to be back open, man.”

Brown says it was a community effort to repair the shop and replace broken supplies, such as clippers.

“Friends, family, everybody was showing up, coming to help,” Brown said.

Even with tire marks still on the floor, reopening before Christmas was one of brown’s biggest priorities.

“A lot of my clients were calling,” Brown said. “A lot of them have very important things to do, and I wanted to make sure that we were open so I could take care of them.”

One of those customers is Tyrus Williams. He came to the barbershop last Saturday to get his hair cut when he saw the destruction.

“It was kind of wild because I didn’t expect it to happen,” Williams said.

He’s been getting his hair cut here every two weeks for the past ten years and wanted to make sure he came when it reopened.

“If it’s not one of the barbers up in 32 Degreez,” Williams said. “I wouldn’t go nowhere. Everybody here is pretty good and what they do, and we all family.”

A family that’s keeping tabs on one of its youngest.

Barber Chez Robertson says a 10-year-old boy whose hair he was about to cut got pushed through the wall by the car and had to undergo surgery.

Robertson says the boy’s mother told him her son is out of the hospital and on the mend!

“I almost feel like he’s like my little brother or my son, so I was very concerned about him,” Robertson said. “So like I said, huge sigh of relief that he pulled through and that he’s going to make a full recovery.”

Brown is now planning something *for* that boy to show his support.

“I want him to know that we love him and we care about him,” Brown said.
