A K9 officer in Washington state helped locate a naked suspect who tried to elude law enforcement by hiding inside a trash can
On Aug. 11, K9 officer deputies tried to contact a man found sleeping in a stolen F550 vehicle, but the suspect fled from the scene and led deputies on a pursuit into King County where Washington State Patrol took over. Eventually, the suspect crashed the vehicle in Seattle before fleeing on foot, leaving behind his 4-year-old son and girlfriend, the sheriff’s department said.
On August 21 around 9:22 a.m., K9 officer deputies reportedly ran a plate of a suspicious vehicle and identified the owner as the suspect from the stolen F550 chase. During the attempted stop, deputies got the suspect’s 4-year-old child to safety but the suspect and his girlfriend refused to leave the vehicle.
When deputies used a non-lethal round to break the vehicle’s back windshield, the girlfriend began yelling and getting dressed while the suspect fled from the car on foot, jumping over several fences before deputies lost sight of him.
K9 Bronco tracked the man to a backyard and found the suspect in a trash can hiding from authorities, the sheriff’s department said.
