STORY: The young man in the video is a Detroit Police Detective’s son. As you can hear him repeatedly say to the officers… “ My dad is a Detroit Detective, call my father”. They ignored him and continued to beat him. This young man is about 5’2 130lbs soak and wet, there was no need for 2 let alone 5 officers to jump on this child.
Back story: The young man was out with his friends. One of the young ladies left her purse in the car and asked him to go get it. The officers pulled up stating they thought he was breaking into the car. Then they asked to search the car & that’s when ish hit the fan. It was not a traffic stop, so they really had no reason to search the vehicle. The other young man let then know he was armed and had his CPL but they focused on the young man they were attacking. As you can see the young ladies told them he was with them and that fell on death ears. They tasered him repeatedly, punched him, choked him, and tried to put him in a leg lock.
The father of the young man is detective Darrell Dawson Senior & when he heard what happened to his son his response was… “ I’m in law-enforcement and I’m not trying to get in that they were just doing their job and I don’t wanna lose mine over my child.
So sad but this is the same officer who shot an unarmed dog a few years back when he was on a police chase and he jumped a fence and the dog was chained up and he open fire on him. I guess the dog was wrong for being in his own yard.
Cops like the ones seen in this video and Detective DARRELL DAWSON SR. should not be on the streets.
