some homeowners in a DeKalb County neighborhood say they no longer feel safe after a string of reported car burglaries in their community.
The homeowners, who asked us not to identify them because the suspects are still on the run, told that the thieves are targeting people who live in Lithonia’s Waterton on the Park and Shadow Lake Drive neighborhoods.
Neighbors told that over the last 90 days, surveillance cameras have captured thieves breaking into their cars on multiple occasions.
In fact, on Feb. 23, surveillance video captured a group of armed thieves.
As two of the suspects attempt to steal a car, a masked man can be seen pointing a gun at the home security camera. The video, which was posted to Nextdoor, had more than 300 comments as of Tuesday afternoon.
