Lucerne Valley, California — A 39-year-old Los Angeles woman was killed after her Tesla veered into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a big rig on May 6. According to the California Highway Patrol, ShanShan Li was driving a Tesla Model 3 westbound on State Route 247 near Stony Ridge Road when, for reasons still under investigation, the car crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with a Kenworth T680. Li was pronounced dead at the scene and had to be extricated from the wreckage. A passenger sustained minor injuries
