In Sidoarjo, Indonesia, a fruit shop owner was serving a customer — a hijab-clad woman — while holding her toddler in her arms. Moments later, the child suddenly began crying hysterically. The mother, confused and startled, had no idea what had caused the distress while she was focused on the transaction. It wasn’t until she later reviewed the CCTV footage that the disturbing moment allegedly came to light: the customer she had been serving was seen reaching out and pinching the toddler from behind. Shortly after, once she appeared to notice the CCTV camera, she seemed to switch to a comforting gesture toward the crying child.
