Boston police said they received a call around 1:20 a.m. for a report of a person shot on Dacia Street. Arriving officers searched the area for victims, witnesses, suspects and ballistic evidence and found shell casings, projectile fragments and observed ballistic damage to multiple buildings and a vehicle.
Residents at both 25 and 33 Dacia Street were contacted and no one inside was injured.
Police were later notified that someone with a gunshot wound had been brought to an area hospital. That person is in critical condition but is expected to survive.
No arrests have been made, police said.
Aerial footage showed a heavy police presence on Dacia Street just off of Blue Hill Avenue Tuesday morning. Several evidence markers could be seen in and around a driveway.
